As the superintendent of the Knightsen Elementary School District, I want to reaffirm our district’s commitment to ensuring that each and every student, regardless of their immigration status, feels safe, welcomed, and supported in our schools.
Immigration reform is a deeply important and complex issue that affects many students and families in the community we serve. I believe that schools are places of learning, growth, and opportunity for all children, and it is our duty to protect and uplift them. We stand firmly against any policies or practices that instill fear or prevent students from accessing the education they deserve.
To our students and families, please know that you belong here in the KESD, and we are here to support you. Together, we will continue to create a learning environment where every child can thrive.
