Knightsen Elementary School District

Welcome to the Knightsen Elementary School District! We are a growing school district, with two amazing schools which serve approximately 600 students from across far east Contra Costa County.

The KESD offers a unique experience for its' students and their families. Our schools service the TK through the 8th grade levels and sit at just over 300 students each. Because of this TK-8 model our schools have the opportunity to connect and establish deep roots with our students, their families, and our overall educational community.

Our district strives to work as a proud professional learning community of educators to service your students. Our district has a focus of retaining a small school feel, all the while incorporating the rigor, technology, and opportunities of our larger counterparts in the far east bay area. I am proud to say that this is a school district where students want to be. This is evident by the number of transfer students we receive from neighboring districts each year. About one out of every three students come to the Knightsen Elementary School District which makes us a premier school district where parents choose to send their students.

Knightsen Elementary School District has a longstanding district that has that has a vibrant history that has a reputation for producing students who excel in high school and beyond in life. These qualities that are instilled in our students comes from the dedicated hard work of our staff and the strong relationships we have built with our students and their families.

Our district is home to some of the most dedicated and committed employees you will find anywhere. Many of our staff members either currently have or have had their children and close family members attending schools within our district. Being connected to school coupled with the positive support from the community provides an excellent platform for our students to excel above their peers both academically and socially. The Knightsen Elementary School District is committed to fostering positive relationships for the benefit of our educational community’s children.
